Treatments provided

As a board-certified adult psychiatrist, the vast majority of my care will involve treatment of adults, although children in late adolescence (16 or 17 years old) may be appropriate to receive services from me as they transition into adulthood. The majority of my services consist of psychopharmacologic (medication) management with regular 20 - 25 minute sessions occurring at an appropriate frequency to maintain your stability and functioning (some timeframe between every several weeks and every few months for the majority of patients).

I am comfortable in providing medication management for a broad number of disorder types, including, but not limited to; anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder), attention deficit disorders, mood disorders (major depressive disorder, bipolar I and II disorders, schizoaffective disorder) and psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder).

In certain instances, I may be amenable to providing psychotherapeutic services in addition to medication management. I have received extensive training in both dynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy modalities. Unlike medication management, therapy sessions typically last between 45 minutes and an hour and usually occur one to two times per week. Patients likely to benefit from therapy are typically highly motivated to improve and are willing to put in significant time and resources outside of sessions to further the therapeutic process.
